SHELF life - Feedback

I can’t stop smiling, laughing and/or reflecting on the feedback I’ve been getting from some who viewed my recent SHELF Life Interview.  I thank you all for taking the time to give me feedback, on who I am, what I do and where I am going to be!  I  receive it all in the good faith and love they’ve been given.  Sharing a few:

“You are certainly an enigma!”

“I really love your interview with Judith, you were so calm and relaxed! I see a future for you in TV communication! That is after the wandering bug bites you again, when you are overwhelmed with boredom. If you were a child, I would diagnose you with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). However, as an adult I would diagnose you with "Wandering Spirit Disorder" [I love it] you just can't keep still, too many ideas and projects, just keep floating over in your head.”

“Hello Susan I just watched your interview -Shelf Life, inspirational piece of work well done. I am proud of your achievements in life as a giver.”

“I really mean it...I think that your greatest work is still ahead of you”

“Your interview was very good.  You know...some speakers are able to reach their audience and some don’t, you fall into the former.  Meeting your audience and your audience agreeing with you are two different things - not everyone has the capacity to do that - meet their audience!”

“Informative while entertaining...very relaxed and nice”

“Girl I was just listening to your conversation and realize I was somewhere in your boat practically all my life. I never had a clue what I  wanted to do, nor where to go...your truth has given me hope”

“Dr Sue, Indeed, inspiring and informative. How easily you traverse the cultural landscape of our heritage with your poetry.  I am blessed by your sharing and fortunate to call you my new friend. The pleasure is my reward.”

Namaste!

As may have been surmised from the interview, I am never the first to see the value in me and what I bring to the table.  So I compile and share these as a humble reminder to self as I learn to see and value my worth!🙏🏾

2020 Christmas

‘Twas Christmas night

And everyone was going to sleep

Stuffed from All the food dem eat.

The spirit of giving was certainly in the air

As friends and neighbors passed by to bring cheer.

We had drive bys

Stop bys and fist & elbow bumps

And fellowshipped in small clumps

2020 made our Christmas celebrations different, but it was fair game

‘Cause we never lost the spirit, as the purpose remained the same!

Thank God for the Gift of Life!

Jesus was HIP

As I prepared to give some gifts while reflecting on Christmas and what it is about, I came to the realization that Jesus too was HIP!

He was HUMBLE - He was born in the humblest of settings, a cattle shed.

He was INTENTIONAL - He spent his life on earth focused on giving, loving and healing.

He was PREPARED - He was not surprised by and was ready for the betrayals, the doubts and the ultimate crucifixion.

We too should strive to live HIP Lives - #BeHIP

Favor

So this morning as I listened to service at Elevation Church, speaking on Favor, I immediately reflected on my own life and how grateful I have always been knowing ‘I have the favor of God!’

If for nothing else, I was reminded of my ‘SCARS’!  The evidence of the seven major and nine minor surgeries over my 57 years of existence!  Sixteen times under general anesthesia, that is, taken to a state of unconsciousness and brought back to life!

I know I have God-fidence, I know I have the favor of God and that is why I live a HIP life! I am here for a purpose and I’m being divinely intentional about realizing same.
